Honda dealers in Hawaii claim that the manual transmission isn't selling as well.

I did find one in stock like the one I mentioned previously at Tony Honda in Waipio.

Tony has also up to 4 silver Fit Sport AT coming in December or later.

Tony has now BOM Fit Sport AT for sale on the lot ready to go. I saw it this weekend. Try to get it for under $1000 over MSRP.

Today TONY Honda in Waipio was running a newspaper ad with a discounted

new 2008 Honda Fit Sport Manual Transmission (stock # H80661)

for $15,777 plus destination, tax, license, Doc fee, etc.

MSRP was listed at $15,900

Just for the record I've hardly see any mention of Fit's in Honda ads in Hawaii let alone a listing for under MSRP.

Must be a glut of manual transmissions. Or maybe a loss leader for bait.
They even had a Civic 4 Dr LX for 16,888 manual transmission. That's rare, most are automatics except for the Civic SE.

Howzit MINI Fit,

I got my silver Fit from Tony from the internet sales person Julie K. Internet sales are 150. over MSRP. Email her before going down there tell her the massage guy sent you. It's the best way to get out of that haggling with the sales person for hours. As far as lost leaders these are the cars they have had for a while I bought a Titan lost leader and it was nothing but problems. I'm not saying all lost leaders are bad but, I think you should get the car with the options you want and pay a little more.

Is your Fit a manual transmission? If so then that is why they were willing to sell for just over MSRP. They can't easily sell MT. AT sells well so not much discounting offered even over the internet in the past.

I hope they are willing to deal as low as you mentioned. Stock seems too low for that. Or you just have to wait until something comes in.

Yes, my Fit is manual shift Sport. This is Julie's email <jkoide@autoplex.dealerspace.com> Tell her the massage guy sent you. Ask her what available in the inventory and she can also tell you if there's any soon to be lost leaders. Remember if you are buying over MSRP they're already making a killing.

MT, OK that makes sense.

I got an AT Fit Sport from Tony Honda in December for about $300 over MSRP.

I saw MT base and Fit Sport in stock and sitting around with no buyers, multiple colors, also at Windward Honda. At best you might be able to deal and get it at MSRP for the manual transmission Fit.

I could have gotten a auto Fit Sport for 150 over MSRP too, but I didn't want one.

Well then they are hurting for sales now if that is the case.

They should be advertising, why keep the Fit secret?

That's what I wrote to Julie. I just went to China and I swear I must have saw over a thousand Fits and Jazzs running around. Any way my Fit purchase was the fourth purchase I made through Julie (internet sales) in the past five years (three Nissans). Maybe that's why it's so low. It wouldn't hurt to try emailing her for your next purchase. Worst case sinerio price too high, then you have to go haggle with one of the sales teams (tag team, sales person and manager back and forth for hours)
