New Fit Price

New Fit Price
Hi everyone,
I am new to Fit Freak. A large part of the reason why I joined is because I am considering purchasing a Fit Sport.
So, I went to the dealer today for a test drive and to talk about some prices, and the best they could do was $23,000 taxes in and everything, which is basically the MSRP. This included Manual Transmission, floor mats and locking wheel nuts. I wasn't all that comfortable with the price, so I decided to think about it and they let me walk out the door without much fuss. Seeing they let me do that, I am wondering if they have actually reached rock bottom or they're just playing hardball. I'm curious if anyone would be willing to post what they paid for their Fit, "drive away" price, taxes and everything in.
Consumer reports suggest the MSRP is about a grand more than the Invoice Price, so it looks like there may be some wiggle room?
Are these cars selling for much less than MSRP? Or am I going to have to settle paying full pop for one?
PS I'm in Greater Vancouver, BC, Canada
Thanks!

I should also have to specify that I'm from the lower mainland around Vancouver B.C. I notice you're posting from the states. You're prices are A LOT lower than ours. About 7k to be exact.

Thank you!
I took a brief look at that before I posted, but realized that it was mainly American prices, which is useless for me, seeing I'm in Canada. Hence, why I posted in Greater Vancouver Community.
Thanks again!

I went to Marv Jones in Maple Ridge so far. The guys were friendly enough, but NO budge on the 2011 Honda Fit Sport Manual. The best they could do is slightly more than the MSRP at $23,000. That seemed absolutely ridiculous. I don't care how scarce Fit Sports are right now. They seem to be selling them like their sports cars or something. Let's not forget these are base model Hondas. Good cars, but they are what they are.

yep. sad sad state (wish we lived in a STATE!) when the Canadian dollar is always near/on/above par with the USD$ but we get raped on the cost by 7 grand or more. (dont forget our crazy taxes!) we don't get the extras (paddle shifters on auto, nav, bluetooth, for those who own 2009-2010 MUGEN kits/parts.. etc) Canadian buyers are always at a disadvantage..
with that being said, try looking up the Greater Vancouver threads. see if u can PM Rick he works @ Richmond Honda. apparently he can get us fit freak members a pretty good deal (or at least try hard to get us something on the offer sheet.) good luck and welcome to the boards!

hi VitaminJ,
welcome to the forum.
are you looking for a new FIT?
if yes, most dealers won't give you good deal because FIT are in high demand.
there are some pre-owned 2010 and 2009 in Craig list but again
would you trust those guys?
I saw one used FIT 2 days ago from Craig list from a dealership but its auto tranny.
good luck
