I think it means Bring Your Own Meat. For those who are coming from up north there are grocery stores close by within a few minutes.

thanks for clearing that up.

Are the Canadian going to meet somewhere and drive to the border together or meet up at the Chevron as suggested?

Yeah apparently there's a Honda-Tech meet somewhere in the States on the same day. So I guess there'll be quite some modified Hondas going across the border in the morning.

Maybe it's a better idea to meet at the Chevron after the truck x-ing.

damn those trucks and their having to x. bout as bad as the damn deer.

yes, BYOM is Bring Your Own Meat. I'll try to have enough hamburgers/hotdogs for everyone but if you want something else grilled then we can do that as well.

If you want to bring extra hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, salad(s), etc, please feel free. Just bring enough to share.

A real nice place for a meet and BBQ would be Porteau Cove along the Sea to Sky Highway about 10 minutes south of Squamish.

The view is breathtaking and there are campsites, tentsites and picnic areas too.
That is what I call a nice destination.

Since this is a WA/BC meet, its probably a good idea to keep it south of the Border. Its 2 hours drive between Seattle and Vancouver so I guess anything in the middle will be good =)

I have a feeling that if its gonan be anything north of Vancouver, the meet is just going to end up like a local meet and defeat the purpose of a joint WA/BC meet =\

Of course, I understand; just trying to point out what you might consider as a nice place with a view.

north of vancouver, bc is probably not gonna make it for me. I'm 3+ hours from the border, plus travel time once I get past the border, equals not alot of motivation for driving that far lol.

if you guys want a nice area, Deception Pass has some great views, nice campground, but like alot of campgrounds in the area, it will get busy quick. It's alot closer to the border than everett if some of you from the great white north aren't up for a longer drive.

Are we changing the location now? I am down to drive anywhere below Canadian border since I cannot cross right now.

here is no record to

Are we gonna try to set the record of not? Sorry to bring all this up cause if there is a record to set, obviously we should put as many fits down the border.

If no records, then I guess we can all carpool? Just my opinion.

I am not sure about silverlake as well cause i heard from some people who've been there said its so-so (I personally dun really mind, I just want the meet and the food =P)

Either way, we should really finanalise the destination, and a quick show of numbers. There's about 10 people last time I check the signup Thread.

the record can be set at a later date. I'd love to have as many fits here as possible though. Silver lake is nice, the park we are going is a nice park on the lake. Why not just a simple meet n greet/bbq this time and later we can find a supremely nice place for setting the record?
