Sunroofs!
So yes, I've spotted a few fits with sunroofs and there seems to be a bit of interest in getting them installed by some local members. So can anyone shed some light on what the cost and where we can get sunroofs installed in Vancouver?
I believe there is a sunroof company called Hollandia? I've heard good things about their after market sunroofs. And it looks like a place on Clark Drive installs that brand, I am going to call tomorrow and post more info. But if anyone else has some insight on this please chime in.

all i've heard from people is that after market sunroofs will leak given time. I've heard this from a reputable body shop around chicagoland. They won't give out quotes due to the problem with leakage.

Yeah installed sunroofs were all the rage like 15 years ago, but leaks and rust issues plauged them until people just stopped having it done. I have heard the same thing, shops quit putting them in because the warrenty work was killing them.

Thanx Manxman.
Fired off an email to Doug at Auto Styling Centre Ltd and here is what he said,
The inbuilt sunroof installed in the Fit is either the Solaire 4300 or 5300 which are $1195 or $1295 plus taxes installed. We can also install a spoiler type (300 series) for $1095.
We would need to see the Fit to measure to determine if the Panorama could be accomodated. It is 55" long. Your cost would be $1895 plus taxes installed.
Please contact Candice at Seat Cover Centre Ltd. (our retail facility) to arrange installation. 604-253-6341
Anyone know the length of the Fit roof? Would look nice with the Panorama roof.

Hmm interesting information on this. I wonder if they will run some specials over the winter months because of lack of business. Did they quote how long it would take and what the warranty was like on labor and the sunroof? Also they have installed the 500 series panoramic sunroofs on a ford focus zx3 hatch so im sure it could fit in the fit.

I'm going for it. Not sure it will be in time for the next meet, but definately will do it. She seemed skeptical of the group buy though, so if you go in there or call them, mention you got this info from Pizzafit.
There are a wide variety of sunroofs to get, the cheapest without sun blocking protection was 795, 1095 with sun protection and adjustable electronic opening.
She had offered me a deal if I got ten friends to go in and get theirs first, but told her I'm a team player, and want the same discount for everyone. Besides I'm not waiting for ten of you to go in there and get this. :P

Hey Pizza, thanks for the information, I look forward to seeing your fit with said panoramic roof. I can't commit to getting one for my fit just yet, I want to confirm that the 2009's won't have that option first. Then I will keep my fit and get one.
