Anybody done an amp install in the fit?

Anybody done an amp install in the fit?

Hey,

Got my 4 channel amp in the mail... just wondering if anyone has done an amp install on their fit yet?

I am a bit worried about getting the wires to the back of my head unit (i got it installed) and running speaker wire to the each speaker. The power wire should be easy enough (I think) and the ground shouldnt be too tough.

If any body could help me out it would be awesome!

Sweet deal, what kind of amp did you get? How Big in size is it? Any idea where you might want to mount it?

I am guessing you have a new head unit? You can probably splice into the existing wires from the back for hook up, will probably be a huge pain trying to run new wires everywhere. Did you get aftermarket speakers as well?

Ya its pioneer premier 790BT.... the bluetooth works awesome I love it.

I got Diamond Audio front components and rear 2 ways.

The amp is a pioneer premier 75rms x 4

And i wanna do all new wires.... i trust myself wayyyy more with that then splicing wires. I cant solder AT ALL.

But ya... I work at honda so i have access to service manuals and mechanics if I get stuck i guess. Plus all the panels seem quite easy to remove except for maybe getting to the back of the head unit.

lol, I never sodered any of my old systems. My soder jobs usually sucked and I always found it interfered with the quality of the sound.

I found sliding on some shrink tubing, then splicing the wires together with about an inch from each end; and then sliding back the tubing over top (just blast it with a butane torch for a second and it tightens up around it) works best. Looks very proffesional as well.

Any idea where you want to mount the amp? There is a huge space above the glove box. Not sure if it would fit there or not.

i was just going to mount it somewhere in the trunk area.... maybe just on the carpet. I am definitely no handyman... so making a mount or something would be near impossible for me.

YeeFit did my install, but it was a smaller RF amp. It fit inside the spare tire
