Welcome Mabouya! Glad you joined us.

I'm in the city with just lowering springs for the time being. They function well, but being that I do want the car to perform very well, I plan on coilovers eventually. I'm using T1R V2 Springs. The only time I've had a problem with this setup in winter was when I visited my parent's place out in the middle of a coulee with a very steep hill of a driveway to get out. So much snow that we were barely able to even tractor the car up... but it's a bit more of an extreme case.

I don't really have a ton done with the car since I am a student... but I have done a lot of research, and the T1R Turbo seems to get a lot more bang than the others out there.

Cheers,
Jordi

I have been thinking about turbos over the sc, what turbo set up do you all recomend? i would love to meet up in person to see your set ups and chat.

is there a company here in calgary that would put a turbo system in?

cheers

I would definatly suggest getting coilovers over the lowering springs, i have had lowering springs on my fit before and just wasnt happy with the ride. i now have coilovers and am overlyu impressed and my fit is my daily driver it sees the snow the rain and the sun all year, its super easy to adjust them to change height and doesnt even take very long.
As for turbos i have no clue, but as for shops i would say check out Vex performance, the guys there are great and do installs of any kind. I usually buy parts through them, they do good work

Welcome to FF
I will take lowing spring/ sport suspension over Coil for daily drive...I had T1R B52Max with swift srping and J's sport suspension right now
I think both handle good but the sport suspension is softer for daily

As of Turbo and Supercharge, I love the T1R Turbo but I sold it last year...been thinking of SC but nothing had plan yet...
Just my opinion

Hey Van, I'm using the T1R Coils, cut in the rear to level out the car, and without the mud flaps I have been doing well for about a year now. No ruined shocks yet, though I plan on getting proper shocks sometime. Now, I do use the handling advantage of this car and dodge just about everything, haha! But otherwise I've still been fine visiting my family out in the countryside near Medicine Hat.

And now I just realized that you're asking about coilovers, not springs, ha! Well then I have no real experience, but I do know that T1R has one very high performance set called the B52's that are height adjustable, and they are currently gauging interest on a new $600 set which are also height adjustable! Here's the link for that:

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...overs-6xx.html

Only thing I'm not sure about this set is that the dampening isn't adjustable...

Good to see a lot of Fit Freaks down south. I wish the Fit scene is the same here in Edmonton.

Welcome. Better hunt down a KWSC now since they are out of production.

Funny you should mention that, I was searching all over Kraftwerks website yesterday and couldn't find anything for the fit. I could have sworn they were selling them two months ago?

Haha, yeah something like that. I'll pm you a link someone sent me earlier to possibly find one of the last ones. I was looking into it previously, but now i think that when i complete my automotive engineering, I'll just devise my own supercharger creation.

Haha, yeah... that supercharger will be a long time from now. But one day... one day... actually one day I plan to convert the car into a mid-engine rear drive.

Snowfit, have you ever noticed where everyone else is? You're totally right about it just being us, and now our new Edmonton friend, jmsplitfyre. We should have a meet of the four of us one of these weekends. I too would like to see that car of yours.

I have a couple of buddies that have Fits too. And I have seen some lightly modded Fits around here, but maybe they haven't heard about FitFreak yet. I really want to get decals done to rep and spread the interest in Fits.
