is the joystick a full 360 degree or is it a 8-way?

the 360 degree joystick is when you can do a full circle without stopping

the 8-way joystick is when you try do a full circle it feels it kinda stops at the diagonal, vertical, and horizontal axis.

(i hate the 8-way. i have a hard time doing the supers with them.)

its Sanwa JLF-TP-8T Ball Handle Joystick, 4 & 8-Way Adjustable.
no 360 degree i think you can buy a different plate for the 360 degree not sure.

i am pretty sure in japan the arcade is on 4 way 360 is hard to do moves there no feel on where you are on the joystick.

well most fighting games are not 360.
and most super on street fighter are only 2 quater circle to do so you don't need to do 2 360 unless your zangif

i had the tekken 5 hori arcade stick for the ps2. it was 8-way. when i played cvs2 i could never play zangief because i couldn't do a full 360 well enough or terry's power geyser motion. with guilty gear xx i could never do sol's tyrant rave facing left(even though there is no point in doing it. you can RC combos that are stronger than that). but i do have to admit it was easier to instant air dash in guilty gear xx and some of the combos in tekken 5 were a lot easier to perform and street fighter combos were more percise.

sorry for ranting. its all preference.

ok i'm guna shut up now. glws. good product really good product. i like how it looks and i like the button set up

It's a Sanwa JLF, so it's probably going to be a square gate or octagonal (probably would mention it if it were octagonal). Circle gates (360 degrees of continuous smooth movement) are only available for the JLW joystick, not JLF.

By the way, all joysticks are 8-way, 4-way or 2-way.

damn this is nice! I'm pretty sure all the japanese sticks use the "square" seat style joy stick. I think the 360 degree style stick is a US thing. I have the hori arcade stick pro. SF4 FTW. LOL!
