2008 Honda Fit Sport 24K - What is the Maint scedule
I am buying a Fir Sport 2008 with 24K miles on it from Carmaxx...what Maint schedule should I follow ?
Specifically I have 2 questions
1) I have no record of previous maint so when and what should I do for the first service call
2)What Service schedule should I follow overall as the Honda website said I should get a 120,000 mile tuneup as even though I have only 24 K miles since the age of the car is 8 years it needs a 120,000 service call. 8 years or 120,00 miles whichever is first...

24 k miles on an 08 means it's either been sitting a lot or has seen extremely short rides. Both is hard on the car overall.
Is it a manual or an auto? In either case, besides engine oil change, you should change the transmission fluid (either auto or manual), make the spark plugs have been changes at around 100 K miles. If in doubt, replace them.
Have coolant replaced along with a new thermostat and new upper and lower radiator hoses. Inspect the serpentine belt but best replace due to age.
Check the condition of the tires and the tire pressure (should be at 32-35 psi).
Check cv boots for cracks.
Check air and cabin filter (don't anyone to replace those, replace urself and save big bucks. plenty of guides online on how to do it including on youtube).
That's about all it. Enjoy your car and be safe.
