high speed alarm
i know this alarm is a safety reminder but...the sound is way too high as compared to other vehicles. would appreciate if anybody can suggest ways of reducing the volume at least.
thanks and more power to fitfreak.

I think certain countries like Japan, and apparently where time master is from, have speed alarms that once you hit about 100 km/h (roughly 60mph), will ding until you go back below the speed limit.
See, you can learn something from Initial D. =)

In America, we have a different alarm. It's called a nagging wife that sounds whenever you get near 70MPH!

In Japan, all cars by law have to have a beeping noise once you hit 110 km/h (which is what the highest speed limit is in Japan). It's extremely annoying so that it discourages speeding. My friend's dad once imported a car from Japan (an old Land Cruiser I think) to be sold here in Canada, and he had to deliver it from Vancouver to Calgary or something. He forgot to disconnect the alarm and had to drive most of the trip with the annoying thing beeping. It was winter so he couldn't even open the windows.
