Proof that consumer reports is a dysfunctional magazine

Once again, Consumer Report should just stick with testing kitchen appliances considering on this link they're trying to convince you that mundane cars such as the Corolla, Rio, Elantra, Forte, Impreza, etc. are more sensational than a Fit?

The 2015 Fit does not qualify for that list for a couple reasons:

1.) Its a brand new car in every way, its not got a reliability rating yet.
2.) Its not sensational.

The 2007-13 Fits are not on the list because:

They're out of production.

Go to the link, it's labeled "7 most sensational small cars of 2014" or not 2015. The whole idea of rating a car as sensational is a subjective opinion too. So what's the point of calling something as mundane as a Rio or Corolla sensational? Mind you I did own a Corolla in the past and I can easily qualify my Fit as sensational versus Toyota's no frills Corolla.

For the average person, a Corolla is sensational. Its mega comfy, looks nice, is great on gas and very safe.

Also, there was no 2014 Fit.

That's news to me and Kelley Blue BookSure is strange too how what you said about the Corolla I can just as easily say about the Fit plus unlike the Corolla it's fun to drive and all its luggage space makes Corolla owners frown.

In fact, the regular Fit is sitting out the 2014 model year as it transitions from the current 2nd-generation iteration to the all-new, 3rd-generation 2015 Honda Fit. While that new hatchback is slated to arrive in spring, 2013-model Honda Fits are expected to be available until then. To add one more twist to the Honda Fit's tale, there actually is a 2014 Fit EV, which is an all-electric version of Honda's appealing subcompact. Unlike the regular model, the Honda Fit EV is limited in both production and availability. But as with its gas-powered sibling, the electrified Fit abounds with versatility and value."

or this:

"What's New for 2014
With the 2015 Honda Fit arriving in spring, there is no 2014 Honda Fit except for the limited-production EV. The Fit EV is unchanged and available only for a 3-year lease in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Rhode Island."

This a strange list

I will have to admit the CR tends to be more sensational than factual with their ratings. Given how they sometimes rate Apple products poorly just to get attention I would ignore their reviews

None of those cars are sensational as well. No Civic SI, no Focus/Fiesta ST? Really?
