Love to find out how and where you first found out about the FIT ?

For us, we saw it on a billboard on the way to church.

I think I read about it in a magazine while waiting at the Dentist's office. I was shopping for a car to replace my Altima and really wanted a gas-saving car.

I was heavily leaning towards getting the Yaris. I didn't even know the Fit existed until then. I would have been comparing the Yaris to the Civic, but the Civic was way more expensive and didn't get the same gas mileage that the Yaris did so I ruled it out and wasn't even interested in a Honda.

My sister-in-law in Australia bought a Jazz when she graduated college and started work as a dentistabout 3 years ago. We were out visiting, and spent a few days driving it around the state of Victoria. I was very impressed. It was the CVT version, though, and the suspension was a little more loose than I would have liked. Turns out that I'm in need of a new car now, and the Jazz (Fit) is here, with an improved suspension and a 5-speed manual. The rest will be history - if the damn car ever arrives!

I'm a car nut, so the NAIAS debut on the online versions of the popular US car mags caught my eye back in early January; from there to FitFreak.net was a simple "search" away & I've been here since.

I was looking for a new car, and wanted a gas saver. So I just looked at all the car manufacturer's websites to look for their cheap gas savers. Then I kind of got hooked on the idea of a hatch back. I was going to buy an xA, but the dealer sucked, so I bought a Fit.

I found out this car in my country, when I last time went back for Visit. Then I came back to get some research.

Oddly enough I first heard about the Fit on a scion message board. I was looking at the xA and ran across the Fit and liked it enough to buy it instead.

I read about the JDM one about 4 years ago, and was hoping they'd eventually bring it across the pond. They finally did.

I think I may have seen something on the net before, but didn't think much of it at the time. Then I went on vacation to Brazil and saw my fiancée's godfather's Fit, which was white I think. I then got interested in the Fit, but lost hope as I thought such a car would never come to the USA And then I brought my Toyota 4Runner to get an oil change, and while I waited there was a Car & Driver issue laying on the seat. I picked it up and it was the issue where the Fit beat the other compacts Must've been fate, because after reading that magazine I decided to sell my old Civic and get a Fit That was in May of this year, and I got my Fit on June 22nd, about 7 weeks after putting a downpayment. Been a happier driver ever since! In fact, the Fit made me feel younger

As you can see from my pic I have a first gen civic wagon (not mine in pic but about the same condition) I loved the versatility of it, it's small, seats fold flat, lots of leg room, a 1.5L engine, and a blast to drive. I needed a new car while I restore it and I wanted something similar, and with no civic hatchback available I found the Fit in the showroom, and to me the Fit is just a new version of my car.....perfect in every way.

First saw them parked here and there when I was working in Sapporo in '01-'03. I actually never paid it much mind as I was more into performance cars like GT-R's etc., but I do remember them. My wife always commented how she liked the Milano Red Fit, but that's about all that ever came up. Then I saw mention of them here on ScionLife when I had my xB, and people were talking about Honda's plans to compete w/ Scion. I still wasn't interested, but then when I was researching the Yaris hatch I ran across more Fit info, did some comparisons, and realized the performance potential it had. That's when I made my decision to get one, and waited months for the release date. Picked it up 4/20 and been happy I did ever since.

Was about to buy an 06 EX Civic coupe and in crunching numbers, decided it was going to be too high of a payment at this point in our lives (although we 'could' do it, we have a 4 mon old and a 2 yr old, as well as a house in need of some work). So for about 2 months began searching to see if there were any other options, knowing that I didn't HAVe to buy anything (the 95 Civic ran great). Discovered the Fit on the Honda site after looking extensively at Elements. My typical action is to then search for owner forums and fan sights for the specific vehicle, to get the low down. This lead me to FitFreak.

I was visiting Thailand and literally in the BKK parking garage, our ride to the hotel drove past a Jazz and it caught my eye. I saw it was a Honda and thought to myself "why can't we have nice things in the US." (Same thing I thought at the mall about mobile handsets.) This spring I think it was the MSN homepage had a picture of one and figured out it was the same car I'd seen in Thailand.

We were in the market for a new car and wanted something smaller. We went on all of the manufacturer's websites and looked at different ones. When we first saw the Fit online we thought it was way too small. We started going to different dealerships and looked at the Yaris, the Versa, and finally the Fit. We just fell in love with it. We couldn't believe how much room it had. We took it for a test drive and we were hooked. We still needed to sell our car and while we were waiting, they sold the Fit they had in stock. The day before our car sold we went back to the dealership and they had another one in stock. I was so afraid it would be gone BUT it was still there the next day and we bought it. Still lovin' it!!! It just FIT's!

I had been in the market for a second car so often frequented dealer lots (but not Honda). One day a friend took me to the Honda lot after describing the Fit. I had not seen nor heard of it before.

Of course I was skeptical . . . the dealer had none available but had a red one sold and ready for delivery as well as a silver one in the showroom (sold also). I sat in it just out of simple curiosity and checked it out. The next day I called the sales guy we spoke to and arranged a test drive. He put my name "on the list" and said maybe 2 months.

2 weeks later I took delivery of my Fit! (Someone decided they did not want the one that came in and my salesman called me first.)

SOLD!

I was looking to buy a car this summer to have one of my own. I was using my mom's old 99 Escort, but my father wanted that car for good, and it wasn't really reliable, anyways (well, not reliable enough for me). So, I was originally going to buy a Civic, but a friend of mine suggested that I look at the Fit since I wanted a smaller car; she had fallen in love with it, herself, but she had just bought a CRV and obviously wasn't going to buy another car just yet. I did research, based on her recommendations, and fell in LOVE with the car before I had even seen it in person. I also researched other small cars, which I discovered after I learned about the Fit, and the Fit still came out on top (though I wonder if I should have waited for the Versa for the six CD changer ... meh).
