Today might be the day!
After 18 years of driving her 1996 RAV4 (the year it was introduced), my wife may be driving away in something new tomorrow and it appears to be the CRV!
The RAV4 has been very dependable with ZERO issues and the only way it would owe us any money was if it caught fire while in the garage and burnt the house down. The car is still on the road and drivable and will be handed down to our son.

Don't urge her to, lol! It's a good car, but I'd think financially about this.
If the current car still runs and you have no problem then don't get a new one until you have enough money. Instead of taking loans and stressing over payments.

This has been going on for YEARS. As of now, the RAV will not pass inspection unless we buy tires all around but she doesn't want to spend another dime on the RAV and her inspection runs out at the end of this month.

Nice! Congrats on the new CR-V. My sister-in-law has one and she loves hers. I'm sure you and your wife will get many years of enjoyment out of your new vehicle. We are still a 50/50 split Toyota/Honda family so I am jealous of your all-Honda-having Hondaness family.

I've never seen her so obsessed over a car, so needless to say she loves it! I have to say that it is a smooth running vehicle and like the Fit, it's so easy to speed! Without batting an eye, you're suddenly doing 80+mph on the highway.
