Corossion on battery

Corossion on battery

I did the idle learn procedure and a week later.. i notice that the nut and bolts for the negative connection of the battery is turning white.. i guess i must have wipe something off during the process.. how can i clean it so it doesn;t turn white and powdery looking?

Mix some baking soda in some water, and clean it with a tooth brush and the mixture.

That sounds like too much work

Easiest way to clean a battery? Can of Coke. No kidding, just grab some Classic Coca-Cola, open, and pour. Cleans the battery connections quicker than you'd think possible. And there's no mixing and scrubbing or brushing to be done.

When you get them clean, coat them with vaseline (I just use a Q-tip, and rub it all over to "seal" it against oxidation.)

Then you have a sticky mess of coke to clean up.

it doesn't take that much, and a paper towel will work just fine. Literally, the stuff disolves on contact.
