New Honda Models for 2007
Preview New Honda Models for 2007
While most Honda models for 2007 are carry overs from 2006 there are three new models: the Element SC, New CRV and the Civic Si Sedan.
More details will be released in September but here is what we know so far.
The Element SC prototype displayed at the New York Auto show in April 2006 will be available for sale September 28. The production SC has a much tougher appearance than the base Element, available for sale since 2003, thanks to its sports 18" alloy wheels, 3" lower ride height and 10 additional horsepower. Honda hopes the Element SC will appeal to "urban" style conscious buyers.
The CRV has been completly redesigned for 2007 and shares the chassis and many suspension components with the new Acura RDX. The CRV is noticeably larger than the 2006 model and will go head to head with the recently updated Toyota RAV4 which is available with an optional 7 passenger seat configuration. The new CRV should be on sale September 28.
Finally the New Civic Si Sedan, first shown at the 2006 Chicago Auto show, will be unveiled at the 2006 SEMA Show on October 31 and will go on sale November 1. The Si Sedan will have all the engine and suspension upgrades available on the Si coupe but will have the convenience of 4 doors. Honda estimates the Si Sedan will be priced around $20,000 to $22,000 and only 15,000 units will be produced the first year.

Fit or Civic built in Indiana?
Ohio and Indiana duking it out:

New model could lure firms
The best case for Indiana, he said, is if Honda decides to make its new subcompact car, the Fit, at Greensburg. Because Honda doesn't make the Fit in North America now, it could attract new firms and facilities to serve only the Greensburg plant.
But most suppliers believe Honda will make its Civic sedan in Greensburg. As a result, many suppliers expect to stay right where they are.

Unfortunately, the "hot wagon" followed the path of the wagon itself in the states. Volvo and Peugeot turbos were fun. Hot wagons......myabe they will comeback with the popularity of the wagon? Dunno.
Yesterday, I just sold my 1992 Camry wagon, not really a big car, but one that got great economy and you could stuff a lot more in it than first appearences. It was more comfortable in the back than a 4-Runner also.
