Dallas resident says she has 500,000 miles on her Honda

Driving anything for 500,000 miles is a feat – just ask some long-haul truckers.
But how about 500,000 miles in a tiny 2007 Honda Fit, an average of roughly 82,000 miles a year or more than 400 miles a day?
That’s what Dallas resident Lori Duewell says she has piled up as a courier in her Honda Fit.
The Midas service shop at 6629 Northwest Highway, where the Fit is said to have gotten all of its maintenance and repairs, will host a barbecue at the shop Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. to celebrate the milestone.
“I have been in the automotive field for over 35 years – 22 of them with Midas – and I can’t remember a time when I got to celebrate 500 K miles on a customer’s car,” said Wayne Earlston, manager of Midas shop.

Awesome. Wonder if she's run into any issues, on original engine/tranny, etc.

Oh she was a courier, that's even more impressive that car's looking and running as well as it is.

The first car I drove (can't say bought cuz it was really my parents who bought it for themselves) was a '79 Accord and she finally died at 528k... Even that was just the tranny, but that's before I knew how to work on cars what's amazing is the owner they purchased it from was the original owner and kept logs of everything. Everyone they gassed up and average MPG, repairs.. everything. The car only had a 5-digit odometer so one day I went through the log to determine how many times it rolled over lol. Love my Honda!
