idler pulley

Does anyone have pictures of the pulley assembly? When I took it off 2 bosses and a big curved washer fell out. I've put it back together twice and it's still not right. I sound like dork but I don't want to crawl under the car for a to many more times
Thanks

Ed

Is this the idler pulley that's next to the alternator? I don't quite remember seeing a curved washer when I took out mine while replacing the drive belt.

Its the one thats below and aft of the alt. If I can figure out how to post a pic of the pulley and parts so you have a better idea of what I'm talking about.

Take the picture and upload it to a free Photobucket acct. Once uploaded to Photobucket, copy/paste the IMG code into the body of your post. That easy.

Yup, that's the one I'm looking for. Mine is a 2008 GE sport. I put it together without that big ass washer and so far so good. Thanks for all the info.

On second thought, maybe I should put #14 on. What does that washer do?

Another thing I found out the hard way, you have to loosen that bottom bolt on the alt. 6" ext and a shallow socket worked for me.

I tried that but I just had the IMG with a red X instead of the pic. Let me try again

Under the picture in photobucket, you will see "direct link" and a few others. If you just click on the IMG code, it will automatically copy. Just paste it over here.

I know this is a old thread, but i had the same problem. I bought a Gates idler pulley and after installed, the pulley doesn't spin freely. After some research, i found out the Gates pulley and the OEM one is a little different, the dust shield (the big ass washer as running call it item #14 on the picture) doesn't fit onto the Gates pulley, so i added a little spacer between the shield(#14) and the bearing spacer(#12), and everything works perfect.

I hope this helps everyone else who's having the same problem.
