For the longest time, I believed us Fit owners were part of an elitist group as there was hardly ever a Fit on the road and most had never even heard of one. Well, while working on the road today I must have seen at least 20. They were getting to be so predictable that I told myself, "At this rate I will see another one by the time I get to the end of the block".........and I WAS RIGHT!

Why does everybody have to buy a Fit because I did? Whatever happened to being original??

I wanted a Fit while some of you were still somewhat suckling at the teet. Loved them when they were first released over here ohhhh so many years back now. And when the GE was released over here I wanted one that much more. Left Japan to Guam and when the GE was released there I was like WTF happened to the GE? Came back to Japan and of course picked up a Fit finally.

hogwylde, definitely don't come to Japan then. You will see a Fit every 50m it seems like.

 

So you ARE aware that to keep the price reasonable, cars are mass-produced on an assembly line, right ... ? You might as well expect a unique toothbrush.

Handmade uniqueness, I think what you want is a Pagani Zonda. You can probably make it work financially if you sell your house and live in the Fit.

Or, I just read today, Acura has been selling less than 1000 ZDXs a year, I think that was the period, but whatever it is, it's tiny numbers. I've only seen one, ever. Looks good in the flesh! And too bad for Honda, because although it looks like it would be mechanically the same as the Accord Crosstour, only the body style is the same - they ride on different-width/length chassis, so imagine the cost of making each ZDX when you apply the fixed cost to each unit! Future collectible therefore, but I imagine it'll be one of those "rarely on the market" cars because presumably the people weird enough to buy one really liked them.

Alternatively used cars. You won't see a lot of del Sols in good nick; you definitely won't see many Saab Sonnets

To the OP. We bought ours before you.

 

Not many around here but it is great when you do see one. I still think the car is cool must be at least 200k in the USA plus since Honda started to import.

 

im sure i saw a couple on the way home, but i wasnt paying much attention to them because they were stock.

 

Anyone driving any sort of stock car will never really be that unique; Short of super car stuffs, of course.

 

I do some mods to my Fit but I brought it for a daily driver it is fun to drive and I do not regret it and I also have my Miata for fun (Watkins Glen opening day 2012)

 

Well with the short supply coming out of Honda this year.....Tons of GD's around but haven't seen another 2012 in 3 months.

 

I swear Honda does not sell Fits here. Very rare to see one then likely a middle aged lady driving it.

I do get a lot of looks in parking lots.

 

I just got back from getting my Fit inspected and the mechanic had never dealt with one. He loved it! After he was done, we spent about 10 minutes going over all the features but I loved it when he said, "It's a peppy little bugger!"

 

I see a reasonable amount of them arround this area, but only three or four are ever in the parkinglot at school. There are a ton more civics and miatas and the like.

The two most unique cars I see at school ate both hellaflush (not a style I like) but one is a Jag, dropped and with, what look like, 18s or 19s. The other is a Golf rolling on high end mercadies rims. They actually match the car perfectly.
