Single Tire Replacement

Single Tire Replacement
Yesterday night driving home on the expressway in the rain, I drove into what I thought was a puddle. It was instead a deep pothole. Slammed so hard I thought I must have destroyed something. Anyway, got home checked and found this bubble in the sidewall:
Don't want to take chances so I want to get this replaced. The car is pretty new and the tires only have 2000 miles on them so I want to get just the 1 tire replaced. Anyone have any suggestions on an all season tire that would play nice with the three remaining Dunlops? Dealer doesn't have the OEM SP sport 7000 available so I would need another brand.

www.tirerack.com has them. order them, take it to the dealer or competent tire shop with non-touch mounter to get it mounted and balanced. any q's talk to alex at x294.

Or just do what I did when I got a nail in the sidewall at 2000 miles, replace them all since they're such garbage tires
Seriously though it's not a good idea to mix and match tires, so just order it and have it shipped to your house and take it to get it mounted.
America's Tire also has them online, you can order online and have it drop shipped to a local America's tire where you then can drive to and have it mounted.

What these guys said. Either get another of the same tire or two or four of a new tire. I would highly reccomend getting four new tires. At 10k miles on the stock dunlops I put on studded general altimax arctics and they were better in ever way, grip, handling, comfort, everything but road noise ( kind of expected with studded tires though...).
Or if you really want, I have a set of four OEM dunlops woth 10k miles, rims and TPMS from a 2011 base I need to get rid of.

Thanks guys, I will look into tirerack. Prices seem good.
x_25, I know what you mean about replacing all 4 and trust me, I'm not in love with the dunlops at all. It's just the tires are practically brand new with only 2k miles on them so i'm going to wait till they all wear out and replace the 4 with something better. thanks though

yah, my wife's been using the SP7000's on the 09 GE for 4yrs now. well, at least in the warmer months. it's a normal passenger tire. not good, but does the job.
and since you paid for it when you bought the car, why not use it if your driving doesn't demand much performance.
i kept the 4 newish SP7000's off my '12 when i pull off the TPMS to use on my aftermarket. im going to use the 4 tires on my 09 GE next season. in fact, i think im going to get the tires swapped out before end of season this year when i swap to snow set.

Yup... What was already posted here... For all practical purposes just get (1) of the same type and ride on them till it's time to change all four.
Been there with the sidewall bubble - right front. Doesn't take much. Those dang potholes just won't get out of the way. Good luck!
