Ya know what sucks?

Is waiting for the fun money account to get replenished to buy new stuff for the Fit...

So many plans....so little patience....Sometimes it's like there's a UPS truck in my drive every other day and then....nothing....for weeks. Depressing!

I think I might order a new battery tie down brace maybe a nice blue one or red....to tide me over the dry spell.

All I do is dream of you....Spoon Sports!

I feel your pain bruddah! I'd love a set of Sport alloy rims for my 2010 base, but that would mean replacing perfectly good 15" tires plus the cost of the rims. Need cruise control bad (Honda: what the HELL were you thinking? Tire pressure monitoring but no cruise? Seriously?). All in good time. It needs a bath right now, and that's free

Pshh, you know what sucks? Ordering parts from Japan and waiting for them to ocean ship the parts to you; average time is 6-8 weeks.

But as they say, good things come to those who wait. When I get my rare parts, it'll be worth all the trouble.

Heheh... I think DRLs are good for small cars... Adds to you being more visible to others... Funny... to see other makes/models w/o DRLs keep their lights on to show off their cool bulbs... Cracks me up... Damn if you do, damn if you don't... Safety first... Just me.

I imagine the daytime running lights being on all the time make the headlight bulbs burn out quicker right? Are they the regular bulbs or high beam bulbs anyone know?

Why do you have to turn off your DRL's?

I've seen some nice little cars with blue fogs wired as DRL's. Nothing wrong with that IMO.
Fogs are useless in actual fog conditions....might as well use that socket for something worth wild....meaning "see me"? don't hit me.....or even better.....check out my cool Fit....I have blue fogs.....what do you have a silly Ford? an overpriced mini?... hahahahaha I got your mini B****.

They're the high beam filaments, operating at low power/brightness. Since it's at low brightness, I don't think it makes a significant difference on headlight bulb life; it might even extend the life of the bulbs by preheating them before they get turned on to full power (but I wouldn't count on that either). The initial cold turn-on is quite hard on incandescent bulbs; many stage lighting systems keep the "off" lights on at very low brightness for this reason. At any rate, headlight bulbs are not one of the major expenses of keeping a car.

Crashing because someone didn't see your car and turned directly in front of you does dramatically shorten the life of the headlight bulbs rather dramatically. It also tends to dramatically shorten your car as a whole. I found that out about eight years ago (with a previous car); admittedly in that particular case the DRL system didn't help me.
