FIT EV or AWD

Yup again! With you there!

I wouldn't drive any of them, but I suppose the EV would be the best choice for Honda as a company.
Hybrid: Just buy an Insight
AWD: Doesn't come in manual iirc, motor's too weak torquewise for AWD with an auto to be of much use in an offroad situation anyway, so kind of pointless
EV: Only thing that Honda doesn't already have some form of in the US. For as many Leafs as I see around here, I suppose it'd be a good option for people interested in shopping electric if they kept the price competitive.

Well the 4WD model is only really made to help those in snowy areas to keep the car moving along better than the FF model. I don't really see any on the roads around here in the Tokyo area, but going up north on drives I see them.
The EV, since on lease only with no option to buy it at the end of the lease if I read that correctly previously, may not be what some want. Though it is much better than the Leaf, so if I had to have one, it would be the Fit for sure.
The hybrid would be nice if they offered the RS model hybrid with the 6MT in it. Would be a bigger and lighter CR-Z (83lbs) at that point.

meh, snow tires on the GE will do fine. i live in a snow belt state (think hokkaido) and the GE does better than most AWD cars with a/s tires.
that said, AWD is just a marketing gimmick on a Fit to me. it just slows down the car even more. instead of AWD, give us the RS's 6MT.

Neither but if Honda would actually do a Fit Si, with peformance upgrades not the UK version. If Ford brings the Fiesta ST to the USA, Hyundai has the Veloster Turbo which is based on the Accent, Sonic RS slight upgrades priced over $20k, and Mazda does the Mazdaspeed2 or something similar to the SEMA car (less horsepower would be likely) a Si would make sense and we could have our cake and eat it.

Ironic because throwing an L15a7 head/cam on a LEA1 CRZ motor yields some really nice gains with a tune.

I agree but with a upgraded model such as a Si maybe some aftermarket products or parts from that model could be interchanged with our cars to give us some options. But I myself would rather see a Si then the EV or AWD Fit neither which I would consider.
