The best any AC can do is drop the internal temperature of the car 20 degrees Fahrenheit in 10 minutes. If you leave all of the windows closed with the car sitting out in the sun all day the internal temperature can be as hot as 120 degrees Farentheit. Buy a windshield sun shield, and crack the windows to allow the heat to escape. Turn the AC to recirculate and turn the fan to full and drive with the window open for a few minutes to allow the heat to escape. This works here in Texas. The AC seems fine on our Fit.

^^Around here the internal temp is a lot hotter than 120. The ambient temp is close to that on somedays, we are talking 140+ inside the car if its sitting around all closed up. That little thing on top of the shift knob almost burns me when I first get in and make sure its in neutral before starting. It definately cools a lot more than 20 degrees too.

I laugh at that commercial for the cooler thingy that hangs on your window. It says a car can get to a "blistering 107" inside. I call that spring time.

The only honda I have ever ridden in that got cold is my parents 2005 accord, mine or my 2 friends crvs never got cold with more than 1 in the car. and if 2 people are in my fit it is a/c on 3 or just be hot. When I am alone a/c on 1 is fine or 2 with on feet.

It has been hot here(vegas) for a while and I find the temp from the ac very adequate. Feeling hot or cold is subjective but I usually need to turn it down to 1 after driving for like five minutes or so.
After parking outside with and without tinted windows I may turn the ac up to 3 for a few minutes to cool down quicker but then I would keep turning the power down.
I just got back from LA and even there with their humidity I kept the vented air on and all five passengers were comfortable at 2 power.
But I do agree on the fact that the Fit doesnt feel as cool as some other cars I have been in
