Genuine Honda First Aid Kit - Anyone have it?

It seems kind of pricey, especially when you factor shipping. (Just shy of $30 from Amazon!) And it doesn't seem to come with much.

But what I like is the case with its Honda logo and Velcro to stick to the side of the trunk. Very convenient and fits in with the decor of the Fit.

Anyone have it? Can you fit a few more items into it? Any good alternatives?

I could have used some band-aids and Neosporin this last weekend, which is why I'm thinking about getting something for the car.

Not a bad idea, I should get something also. Could get this one and put the velcto strips on it. Get the Fit decal from TFB to put on it. May cost about the same but seems to have more supplies.

wonder if your local Honda dealer would give you a break on the cost? I saw one at my honda dealer and it was less than paying for shipping through Bernardi.

I just have my cheapie generic first aid kit from another store

I just bought one for my GE8 from my local dealer. I had an internet special half off coupon, so it cost me about $16. Check your local dealer's website. Honda may be running a national promotion. Based on the contents, $30 would be an unreasonable price to pay. It does fit nicely in the rear cubby, and the finish of the case with the Honda logo compliments the interior nicely, but still, $30 is too much to pay for the kit. I didn't bother using the velcro strips. That way I was able to have the case in the front of the cubby leaving a little extra room behind to store a fold up disposable raincoat, a small flashlight, and my tire gauge. You won't find much extra space in the kit. It's pretty well packed, although you may be able to slip in a few extra bandaids. The kit also comes complete with rubber gloves, a pair of scissors, and a small CPR first aid guide.

God help anyone who is being "aided" by someone who has to read the first aid book on how to do CPR.

The big plus of the kit is that it fits in that passenger side cubby in the back. If you are cpr trained, you should add a CPR mask thing and everyone should have more than the one pair of exam gloves.

To the OP, I just noticed from your profile that you are in the Boston area. I am too, and got my Honda first aid kit from Prime Honda. They still have the 40% off coupon on their website, so you can pick it up for $15.49

Oooh.... interesting. I wonder how long the deal is for. I can't go this weekend, and I'm going to New York next weekend.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm in Brighton. It's been a while since I drove down the VFW Parkway.

Rep point for Rampo for the info! I just picked up the kit, $16.46 after tax. The guy at the parts counter saw me coming up with the big bandage on my leg and said "you must be here for the first aid kit"!

And yeah, it IS tightly packed. I might be able to slip in some of those two packs of aspirin, but that's about it.
