Sport - D vs S

Please, provide a software update for us that shows what gear we are in, all of the time. Information is power.

When switching from D to S on the fly, have it shift into 4th. S without paddles only goes as high as 4th. Why does it currently go to 3rd?

Take a look at the 4AT on the Mazda 6, and learn from it. (except for the automatic downshift in manual mode when you floor it)

Anybody else with me on this?

Thumbs up current gear displayed all the time.

I would like to see what gear I'm in all the time .

D->S downshifting to 3rd (when it is above third) makes sense to me, just like going into D3. The problem with an automatic is that it has to do something ... automatically. So it can't be the right thing all the time

(ok, I miss my manual sometimes )

Oh, and I want an indicator when V-tech is active (saw the posting)
Oh, and can I disable V-tech for efficiency- but only sometimes (assume it's too much trouble)
But yea- I really want to see the gear all the time

Agreed!!!! I want to always know the gear I'm in. If I decide to do a down or upshift in D mode, I want to know where I am in the sequence. HEAR HEAR!
