just received AT sport fit

Order placed 10 june 06, bulit 7 july 06, car picked up today What is blowing my mind is the tire PSI is set at 47 psi on all four tires. Book calls for 32 PSI, however side wall states 51 max PSI.Sould I leave it at 47 psi or I think go down to 36 psi, I am in atlanta, ga area.

Drop the pressure down to 32. The manufacturer overinflates the tires for transport, in order to prevent flat spots from developing. As part of the dealer prep, they should have lowered the pressure to match the specs in the driver's side door jamb.

I know exactly what you mean about it being annoying having to put money into your car you are going to be getting rid of as soon as you get yoru fit. I ordered my VBP manual base fit 6/24 and I still don't have a build date for it. So far waiting I have had two tires blow. The last of which had the tred seperated it came out, knocked my fender loose, scratched up the side of my car and ripped off the side molding even though it's screwed into the rest of the car. Here's some pics.

Honda really needs to get on building my fit before my car finishes falling apart on me.

My dealer said that my car should be there and ready to be picked up between October 11th and 15th.

I have been waiting over 3 1/2 months for my Fit!

How many of you who have build dates have Vin numbers yet?

I work for a dealership here so I get access to the incoming sheets printed from honda and I have a build date of 07/04 but still no vin# as of today.
I'm also curious on how many people are being called once the dealership has recieved a Vin# on the car?

I was not told the VIN of the car, though I did not ask, either. I called my dealership to check on the status of the car, and my salesman told me he was trying to find out when the car was to be delivered. What is the benefit of getting the VIN before delivery of the car?

When I got my VIN, a few weeks prior to the car arriving, I sent it to my insurance agent, and he had my insurance setup, and sent a copy of it to my dealer so I was ready to roll when it hit the ground!!

Congratulations, dagint! Do you feel it was worth the wait?

I ordered my Silver Sport MT on June 17th, and am expecting to be called for delivery any day.

Build date means nothing if the guy behind you on the list offered to pay more than you for the car

If I already signed a contract with a VIN# can they still sell it to someone else? With a VIN that means that the car is built right?

VIN in advance?

I keep reading about people getting a VIN in advance. I wanted to find out how much my Fit would cost to insure and when I asked for the VIN, the salesman told me they didn't have it and wouldn't be able to get it until the car arrived. I was specific about what I wanted, AT Sport, Storm Silver. This was their first shipment of Fits back in April. Did that have anything to do with it, or was this b.s., ignorance or both?
