DRLs will be a fun one on the base witht the way the Headlights are wired.. not impossible just a big pain. I went a rewired my headlights and foglights so the foglights coem on when the car is running. They are controled by the foglight switch. This also means the fog lights stay on with high beams. I laos rewired the headlights so the low beams DONT shut off when switching to highbeams, so its REAL bright now in front

Get the fog light kit and wire it up to be able to work with the key and not just lights.

day time runner lights

I now own a 2007 sport fit and still do not have daytime runner lights. Its a usa model, WA state actually.
I have read that its a relay that will fix the problem. Canada has this feature because of vehical law. I now run with my lights on dim however daytime runner lights run at partial the intensity which works for safety and does not shorten lamp life.
I truley believe if I had that simple feature that myfirst honda fit would not have been wrecked. Another driver didnt see me and failed to yeild my right of way hitting me in driver front.

I think this is the wrong subforum for this.

Honda already put DRL and cruise in the new base models

Its not on the 2007 USA base fit or the sport fit. I asked the honda parts department about this and was not given an answer for a solution. Regarding subforum? Pardon me I was following up on a post I had made long ago.

thanks for that information of the newer models

Oh man sorry I didn't realize you came back 6 years later to follow up!

I guess Honda did listen to your original post, it only took them 6 years

I have a 2013 Fit base, which does have DRL.
I didn't even realized I had DRL until after I purchased the car.
I wish there was an option to turn off/on the DRL, via a switch.
Presently I've pulled the fuse, until I figure out away to switch them on or off as I wish.

Why would you want to turn them off? Our little Fits are hard enough to see without making it harder.

I think we should have a choice.
If an automobile manufacturer is going to install DRLs then a switch should also be provided, so the car owner has the choice to run them or not.

Normally you only hear why DRLs are a good idea.
There are also reasons why DRLs may not be such a good idea.
While I may not agree with all these anti-DRL ideas, I think some make a lot of sense, and folks should be aware of both sides of the issue.

Here is a link that covers some of those DRL issues.
