I've been thinking of buying a fit for a few years, but with the economy the way it is, I didn't want to take on car payments. A guy at work traded his blackberry pearl '08 last year, and I should have bought it. He even had me drive it on a business trip. I loved the car. However, they announced a layoff at work a few days before he traded it in.

Fast forward a year, and my Tacoma gets hit by the frame rust problem and bought back by Toyota. I started looking about three weeks ago, and just hadn't found the right car yet.

Yesterday I got an answer about a Craigslist add for an '08 Fit. The guy sent me the carfax on it, and something seemed familiar. I checked with my friend at work, and he compared VINs to his old paperwork. It's the exact same Fit. The guy who bought it is getting rid of it because he needs something with better gas mileage. He commutes 100 miles round trip and wants a Prius C.

Anyway, we agreed on a price over the phone (he's about 90 miles from here), and pending a physical inspection and test drive, I'm picking it up on Saturday. This will make the third Honda in my driveway. I currently have a 2001 CR-V (wife's car) and a 2004 Shadow Spirit 1100 (my toy).
