Fit Upgrades
I just recently purchased a fit in December 2011 and it's just a base model, manual transmission.
I want to upgrade it immensely but I'm not sure where to start or where to go! I actually found this site looking for upgrade information, haha
I'm tinting my windows first.
What else would you guys recommend?

Light weight wheels... I think that reducing unsprung weight and rotating mass is the best thing you can do to improve any car, motorcycle, bicycle or any other thing that rolls and has a suspension, brakes and steering system.

I'm just looking to add to it. Cosmetics, performance, etc.
These ideas all sound great. As far as acquiring all this, what would be some good places? And what does it do to my performance overall?

I have the Mugen ground effects package all around my 2011 fit . I also have Mugen axle back and T1R B-pipe for exhaust mods which sounds great ! . PRM air intake and I just installed Jet Performance Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor which made a nice performance difference . Next I am still waiting for the T1R race converter to be shipped and I bought Jet Performance V-Force Plus computer tuner waiting to install that . At this point the Fit seems to have nice power and no trouble pulling a nice posi burnout long as I want hehe . Well that's what I got so far hope this helps .

I would prefer having the base model over the sport... If you want to lower the car for performance reasons you will not have the ground clearance problems that you do with a sport model that hasn't been dropped... The problem is so much worse with the GD-3 sport model that I had to buy coil overs to adjust higher than stock... I'm enjoying driving it a lot more now since I'm not worrying about whether I can leave the house and make it down the drive way without inflicting more damage to the front lip.

The GEs do have a suspension difference between Base and Sport, the integrated rear sway bar on the Sport.

I'm curious as to if anyone has driven a GE Base with an aftermarket RSB... and then compared that to a drive in a GE Sport with the same aftermarket RSB?
I know that plenty of people say the difference between no RSB and the 17mm, integrated RSB is noticeable... but how would having just the 19mm(?) RSB compare to the 19+17 combo?
Do the effects stack with two... or does it still feel like only one?

I just purchased a 2013 Sport earlier this month and am also interested to see if it is better to add the Progress RSB to the existing Sport sway bar or better to take off the Sport RSB to conserve weight and also sell for profit.

The existing sport sway bar is integrated and non removable!
I added the sway bar from progress and the difference was immediate in all driving conditions.
