Fit TV!

My father is a trip. He still insists on "taking care of everything" for his kids even though the youngest is 30 (I'm 46). Well, he stopped in for a one day visit from Arkansas and my wife and I are in the process of rearranging the house, including bringing the living room up from the basement to the main floor of the house and we are also in the market for a new TV since our old one weighs over 300 lbs. and I don't want to move it!

So he asks we go to Best Buy so we could shop around and get prices and while we're there he says, "We're getting you a sweet tv and I'm buying so pick out the biggest tv you think your little Honda Fit can carry.

He ended up buying me a bad ass internet ready 47" LCD 120Hz Samsung. Needless to say, he didn't think it would fit in the Fit. I could have gone bigger but didn't want to take advantage of his generosity.

Thanks Dad!

Very nice!

You could have went bigger - the Fit can handle a 55"! I brought one home in my car last year! It was a pretty tight squeeze to get it in, but once it was in there it rode just fine.

Did you have to take it out of the box?

Was that you who posted the picture of the 55"? I remember seeing that. He was leaning towards a 55" but it would have been way too big for my living room and didn't want to take advantage of his generosity.

Be right back. Gonna go watch my first movie on the set!
