Alabaster Silver or Polished Metal?

Which color did you choose, or would you prefer, and why? I am torn between these 2 colors for my new Fit. I kind of prefer the Polished Metal, but then again, maybe not...

I have been thinking that the Alabaster Silver is the best choice for staying looking nice longer (not showing wear so much over time), and for not showing dirt etc. in the short term. My Fit will have to live outside on a city street, I will have to wash it at a DIY car wash, and not sure how much I am into the polish/wax thing though I intend to try. Depending on where I park there can be tree and bird stuff falling on it.

The Polished Metal is very attractive but I may not be able to keep it shined up all the time; in fact, probably not.

Does one color look more metallic than the other, that is, more like the car is actually made of metal? I like it to look that way.

Thoughts, anyone? Thank you!

ASM is much lighter than PMM. ASM is your run of the mill silver. I'd go with the PMM only because silver is quite generic.

Is the SSM about the same as PMM? I have seen the silver in person on the Fit, but not the PMM. Have seen darkish gray Mazda 3's and VW's, very nice, kinda classy...yeah the silver is kind of generic...

I am stressing out over the color! LOL

I selected Alabaster Silver...

...looks clean even when dirty
...doesn't show paint imperfections like darker colors
...I like the brighter look

For those recommending Storm Silver Metallic, is it more like the Alabaster Silver, or the Polished Metal? Since SSM is no longer available.

Thanks to all who have replied so far!!

I saw a PMM Fit today. It is beautiful but I have decided to go with my original choice of ASM...I love it best. I found out from reading the SSM thread that SSM is a little darker than ASM and I think I like SSM best of all, but it is no longer available.

OK my mind is made up, no changing it back.

Both are real nice. But for practicality-ease of keeping clean plus staying cooler in hot weather, the alabaster makes more sense.
When I was buying my Fit last year I really loved the Blackberry Pearl, but I knew I could not keep it looking perfect so went with the Tidewater Blue- a bluish silver.

We have both. Dirty is dirty no matter what color you choose.

Mine's AS and it's grown on me quite a bit. Looks like polished stainless in the sun and seems to always look glossy even when dirty.

Although to some AS is "run of the mill silver" it's funny, most Fit's I see are PMM or Storm, so my Alabaster fit is actually less common where I live.
