General Fit Talk General Discussion on the Honda Fit/Jazz.

I hate my f'ing Fit. How can I get the dealer to fix this at no cost?

Please, whatever you do, do not use WD-40. While doing a good job of cleaning and lubricating AT FIRST, it actually holds on to dirt. You shouldn't even lube bicycle chains with it. Powdered graphite is meant for locks and is what you want to use.

OP, you have probably ruined the locks if you have put all of these lubricants in them with dirt. I suggest purchasing a cheap keyless entry alarm or pay a locksmith

I have to say, this really isn't an issue with your fit. You are transferring your anger (and inappropriate lock maintenance) onto your poor car. I imagine the same fate would have befallen a civic had you purchased that instead. It would be different if this was a common complaint...

FWIW, keyless FTW. Best $100 I spent on my base GE. I haven't used the locks in over a year.

I have an '09 Sport and this thread reminded me that I have NEVER even inserted a key into the lock!

Granted it's my first car with keyless entry so maybe I'll try to use the key tomorrow to see if it works! LOL
