Why I love my Fit

Why I love my Fit
1) 35 mpg average
2) My coworkers hate me for #1 being true
3) People have offered to buy it off (likely b/c #1 is true)
4) Subtle and unassuming
5) Lost of cargo space
6) Low insurance
I do fear it might become a thief magnet, though, because #1 is jammin'

i wouldnt worry about someone stealing the car, but smash and grab is very possible. the fit doesn't have any kind of motion sensor so you can break the window and take things and the alarm wont go off. happened to me before and they got about $1800 in camera gear.
dont leave anything in plain sight

I love my Fit because...
I last filled the tank on June 9th and still have enough gas left to get me to the end of this week... July 15th.
Co-workers are filling their tanks weekly at a cost of $80 to $100.
Any truth to the rumor that Obama in an upcoming speech will insist on a Fit in every American driveway by 2015?

I love the steering wheel. Considering it's the focal part of the driving experience, I'm glad they did a good job designing it. The steering feel isn't half bad either.
I also love the outward visibility of the car. Good situational awareness is key to being good at piloting any type of vehicle.
The low weight and smallish overhangs and the above mentioned attributes make the car very agile. The only cars that you can buy these days with the same level of agility are 2 seaters or roadsters.

why i keep my GE:
1) wife loves the look.
2) cheap to buy and own, always a plus!
3) nice mpg, i dont really care too much but why waste money?
4) cargo space!
5) super roomy inside considering other compacts in this class.
6) very useful in day to day situations.
i would like honda to bring over the Freed. (fit chassis with 3rd row seating).

- ditto- to all comments above - I totally agree plus passenger MAGIC SEATS at the back of the vehicle that I used daily
As there are only two of us, we folded up the magic seats backwards and on the floor vacated by the folded seats, we place two water proof crates in which we place store groceries bags after shopping at supermarkets thru the two back doors or for smaller bags, we need not open the back doors as we place them in the crates while seating on the front seats. Of course, our back windows are tinted
This way, we minimize opening the tail gate daily and hopefully preserve the compressed air cylinder wear and tear. Also, we can save time. It is quicker to open and close the back door than lifting and closing the tail gate with fragile handle.
I've heard of stories that the FIT magic seats concept were conceived by Japanese engineers who observe many supermarket shoppers putting their groceries on the back-seat at the risk of raw meat juice leaking into their seats.
