Is Honda manufacturing manual transmission Fits?

I bought a 2013 Base used, with 3490 miles on it. It had sat on the dealer's lot for 4 months, cuz no one wants to buy an M/T. That's sad, lotta people can't even drive a stick anymore. Sometimes it is a pain, especially in stop & go traffic, but it can be enjoyable taking the little engine thru the gears.

For those who really want a manual transmission Fit, it pays to go to a high volume dealer that has a good reputation. If the dealer's service department is good, the sales department will usually be good as well. It took about a month for me to get a new 2008 Fit Base 5 Speed. I got it June 13th (Friday the 13th) from Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos California. They're one of the bigger dealerships in SoCal. Hardin Honda in Anaheim is also one of the oldest Honda dealers in SoCal; my family bought our first 2 Hondas there in 1978 & 1980: 1st generation Accord HB and a newly remodeled 1980 Civic Wagon. Both dealers have been known to sell plenty of Hondas quickly, and had no problem getting orders filled in a timely manner if you wanted a stick shift car. I was a teenager learning to drive when my dad bought the Hondas from Hardin...15 & 17 at the times. My dad never liked driving automatics, and always preferred sticks even into his 90s; he drove the Fit when going on his own errands and doctor appointments until he passed away.
