Scan Gauge II or Ultra Gauge

Scan Gauge II or Ultra Gauge
I've been reading up on these two gauges on the forum, but have just seen on Ultra Gauge's site that they are selling them for $60 currently. This leads to my question,
Which one of these is better overall (not factoring in price)? If some of you think the Sacn Gauge is better, would you jump on the Ultra to save $100?
I'm looking to get one of these, but just not sure which one to get now.
THX

i got the ultra and I dont regret it one bit! I think its a nicer display and has more configurability but im sure every one will have a beef on either one. personally in the end it was down to the price for me and for 60 i couldn't go wrong.

I have a Scangauge and just a warning, but the XGauge doesn't seem to work with the Fit -- apparently, it doesn't form addresses correctly for the CANLF protocol (see this thread for reference: XGauge Coding - Page 3 - CleanMPG Forums).
This isn't a huge issue, as all the built-in gauges work, but if you wanted to monitor things like short- and long-term fuel trims, you're out of luck with the scangauge.
On the plus side, the Scanguage is a bit smaller...
Personally, I'd probably get an Ultragauge if I was currently in the market.

Thanks guys. I'll order one in the morning.
One more question, has anyone here actually used one of these to diagnose and maybe repair something on their car (after it threw a code)? Although their ad says it will display codes, just wondering if it's practical with these.....

Ultraguage is not as easy to setup as SG, mainly to the fact it can monitor 50 items while showing 4-8 per page which has to be setup by user. I bought one for my mh but figured I would try it first on the Fit. I like it enough to say I will only transfer it out when we go on a long trip with the MH. It is too heavy for the supplied velcro to hold it, if direct sun can hit it. I found a spot but will have to modify my diy bracket to take the weight instead of the velcro self stick glue. I found it can be mounted above the steering column just below the odometer. _/---

On my GE I mounted the scangauge with velcro directly below the vent lever. I have it set to monitor water temp, voltage, miles to empty, and gallons remaining. I used it on my daughter's GD to read a CEL code but haven't had the opportunity to try it on my GE.

I was asking because this was the second thread that you resurrected. The other one being about fuel pump in the 2nd gen section, also a year old since previous poster.
I assure you, if it offended me... I'd make that clear as day.
edit: my, aren't we snippy.

Even disregarding the money, the Ultragauge has the better display... much better screen configurability... and can access up to 56 gauges with 6 button presses (or none at all with it's page scrolling ability).
It wins hands down to me.

I would like to purchase the Ultra Gauge for the following features. I would like some comments to help me decide my purchase. Thanks.
Outside air temp : does it work on our Fits?
throttle position : kinda fun to watch no?
Manifold air temp : when the engine is cold it's like the outside air temp right?
All the fuel level gauges: good to know what's going on in that tank.
KM/H : easier to set the cruise control to a digital read out than to a dial?
Any other fun things you like about it?
Am I dismissing the Scan Gauge too quickly?
