help!!!?? adding satellite to '10 Sport
Tomorrow I will be adding the XM Commander Satellite Radio to my aunts new car, '10 Fit Sport.
XM Commander Car Stereo
The XM Commander is a car specific unit that is hardwired to the vehicle. The tuner box w/ this kit allows for two ways to transmit the audio signal--FM transmitter box or via aux input. I would much, much rather wire this unit to play via the aux button opposed to through the FM radio.
Her Fit has the factory cd player w/ a 3.5mm head phone jack & usb cord in the glovebox. This unit is for seamless integration, so the 3.5mm jack is out, can I use the usb cord to play the XM radio as an aux? I read somewhere that the usb is only for thumb drives. The XM tuner box has RCA outs (L & R) to connect as an aux, so I bought a 5ft cable that has male RCA's (L, R, V) to usb. I was under the impression that I could connect the XM tuner box to the cars aux via the usb using this cable. Will this work, or will I not be able to get an audio signal this way?
btw, hello all. I look forward to using this forum as a way to help w/ my aunts new ride
