Guess which subcompact has the best resale value? :)

BMW and Subaru Are Tops in Resale Value, Says Kelley Blue Book - NYTimes.com

According to the Kelly Blue Book, in 2011 the Honda Fit leads the pack in resale value after 5 years of ownership. Yay!

Another rather remarkable stat: a 5 year old CR-V retains almost 47% of its original value! Holy moly.

And in my case it's nice to see Subaru topping the list - I own 3.

I'm pretty sure I made about $750 on mine the second I signed the dotted line (used 09.) Couldn't believe the used car market for these. Basically the price of a new one if you want relatively low miles. One of the reasons I jumped over to Honda, since I go through a car about every 14 months and was getting hit with other brands. My Suzuki... well, i won't even go there. It was worth it though - soo fun to drive.

Yup yup yup... Nice to know even though I don't see letting go of my '08 Blue Fit and '02 Silver Subie. Both fun-to-drive no-nonsense cars.

I want to know how a Mini Cooper gets put into a compact category when it is actually smaller and less room than a Fit??

Nice. I'm thinking about ditching my fit and going WRX STi.
