Ipod control on Fit Navi

I went to a dealer yesterday and tried an MP3 player on a Fit Sport using the USB connector. The interface on the radio is terrible. It basically scrolls through all of your music in a fixed order.

My question is: Is the interface any better on the navigation version of the Fit?

I have a 2009 Navi, and have never seen the standard interface. iPod control on the Navi is poor in my opinion. I tend to plug in using the aux. port for better overall control. Searching takes forever etc.

Here's a video I made using the navi with an ipod 5g, just to give you an idea of how slow it is:

YouTube - Honda Fit Navigation iPod interface

I just make playlists and don't bother trying to find a specific song from the navigation unit...

I have the Sport-- I will either play random or play by artist & album..I have to skip through a lot if I want to go to different songs.
I wonder if the Ipod interface is better on other cars. My freind has one on her Prius and it is also a pain to navigate.
