Worst Gas Mileage-10 percent alcohol Citgo
Just filled up the Fit. Previously I had filled it up with Citgo-87 which warns that it contains up to 10 percent alcohol.
Fit gauge said 28.5 mpg (Usually 30-31 mpg).
Computed mileage was worse 26.72 (Averaging over 30.5 until now)
Roughly the 10 percent alcohol seemed to cost me 10 percent mileage.
Filled up at Exxon again, we will see how the mileage is.
Seemed especially weird as the previous mileage was with A/C on full time, and the weather has been nice recently here.

All the gas in the DMV area contains 10% ethanol no matter what station you go to it seems. It's almost impossible to find the corn free stuff. After looking at other internet postings, that your 5 to 10% change in fuel efficiency is on par with what others are reporting. Which Exxon do you go to? How does it compare in price? I've paid $2.66 for citgo 87 recently.

Check this out. Just found it when running a search. Check out the comment section. We should all be wary about this corn nonsense.

I thought if stations added the corn to the gas they were required to post a sign at the pump.
There is no sign at the two Exxon's that I fill up at (although I think there is in the winter).
So far with 1/4 tank used of the Exxon fillup the car estimate is back up to 32 mpg.

Not sure if this is legit, but may be worth checking it out...
It doesn't list the place I get my gas, but not sure it it'll accurate for VA.
Buy Real Gas, Ethanol Free
I buy ethanol free gas at a locally owned station. There's a premium paid for it of a few cents a gallon, but I'm willing to pay it for better fuel economy and to buy my gas from a local independent. I work hard to only buy gas from this guy.
Good luck...
