2nd day of ownership installed my Bride ZetaIIIs into my GE8. Don't really enjoy other seats after sitting in the ZetaIIIs. The stock seats felt way too truck like for me, the positioning and also the fact that they are far from sport oriented in my opinion, but my previous Hondas were more sport than the RS.

I'm 5'8" and 180 lb, medium build.
On my GD1 I drove with the stock seats for about 2 years. In city driving they're okay and decently comfortable, but on long drives past 4 hours (or really nasty traffic jams), the lack of thigh and knee support becomes pretty obvious. I can live without lumbar support, but no thigh and knee support on a manual-transmission car is a cause of strain that shouldn't exist.
DIY-replaced them with Recaro SRDs on BRIDE RO-type rails. Huge improvement - I have no problem spending long drives in the car now. Fixed lumbar support was a welcome bonus.
The only real issue is getting used to the 1"-lower hip height of the seat, which took me a few weeks.

My body is a tight 19.7 BMI to 20.6 or no flab to shield me from the torture throne. The seat is fine for short cruises but absolutely the worst for longer rides. The bean counters @ Honda, obviously cut costs with the Fit's seat. Even my CRX's seat was more comfortable than the Fit's

08 Honda Fit seats
My seats are as comfortable as some if not most aftermarkets brands.
If I were to change them it would be for pure aesthetics only.

So how the f*$k did you end up buying car with the worst seats ever made?
(I've been looking for an ignore button but can't find it... can anyone help me?) Aha! User CP>Settings and Options>Edit Ignore List

You appear to know everything regarding car seats manufactured throughout the world for at least the last couple of decades, including owner satisfaction ratings which must be fairly difficult to come by. Amazing stuff!

I've driven back home to Detroit from Chicago 4x's, about to be 5x's when I get out of work today and I can honestly say they are VERY comfortable. Those who've swapped out to racing seats, cool, I bet they look good and some are even comfortable, any pics of that to the GE
