Price of extended Service Contract-Honda Care

I got a 7 year/75,000 extended warranty for $679. I think I got a decent deal considering I think of it like car insurance. If I use it then I will think I was brilliant. However, if I don't then three days after the original warranty runs out, something will happen to the car.

Ok, I'm reviving this thread. I found an extended warranty from one of our sponsors here. They have a 5yr/100k for about $605 with 0 deductible and a 6yr/120k for $765. Im thinking if I should buy this. I'll be driving the Fit about 50k/yr, so that will last me only 2 years. So its about 300/year for the extended warranty.
What do you guys think about this?

I think that in two years even if you drive your Fit for 100K there will be no major problems!! IT's mainly highway mileage I'm sure at the rate you are racking them up. And an engine and trans and suspension is under very little stress during highway cruises.
Just keep up on the oil changes and you'll be fine! It's a Honda!

Glad I found this thread.
I have a honda care warranty. But after my Fit got all tore up and reading this thread... I think I am going to return it.
Maybe I'll pick a cheaper one later (the one I have now is more than most mentioned on this thread.)
Probably just throw was I paid for it back into my payments.

Reviving a dead thread again....
I've got 5k miles on my Fit and just realized that if I want an extended warranty, I should get it in the next 1000 miles. The question is, how often are these warranties actually invoked? This is actually two parts:
1) how often does something go wrong on a Honda Fit? and
2) how often is the specific repair covered by the warranty
Anyone have answers to either question?

The dealer I bought my fit from charged me over $1,600- after I talked them down - for the extended warranty, and didn't give me any paperwork on it. I went home and looked for more information on the internet about it- & discovered it wasn't even the real Honda extended warranty, but an after market contract. I can't tell you how angry it made me!
I searched and found Honda Warranty - Buy Honda Care Extended Warranties - Bernardi Warranty they had really good prices- $1,000 less than what I paid at the dealer I bought from with better mile, and year coverage and it is the real Honda Care Warranty. Also they are actually located about 45 minutes from my house-even if I never go there, I like knowing they were a real Honda Dealer w/ honda service. Plus by buying the warranty through them I got a $30.00 coupon to use at their partner site Honda Parts and Honda Accessories from Bernardi Parts which I used for the Cargo cover I needed for my Fit.
I was able to cancel the contract I bought at the first dealer & they applied the full amount to my principal on my car loan. It didn't change my monthly payment, but I'll be paying for a much shorter time. - Not as good as if the dealer I bought from didn't over charge me, but I'm glad I got out of the over priced junk contract.

i don't remember the exact price i paid for mine, but i do remember that i had two choices upon buying my fit:
1. take the extended warranty and a lower interest rate
2. take a higher interest rate that would have evened out to the same price as if i got the warranty
i kind of got jacked, but if there's no way i can go back, i'd rather have the extra insurance than give them extra interest.

My 1 owner 2013 Fit Sport is ending it's factory warrantee this week. Before they try a hard sell has anyone purchased the extended warrantee and can I only buy engineerings/transmission extended, if so any idea on cost and length of the warrantee?
Thanks in advance.
