i would say the fit is 'adequate' on the freeways, not 'great'. the fit is 'great' in city driving.

As long as you realize the car has a 1.5L engine don't go expecting neck snapping 8 cylinder acceleration.
I own a Fit Sport Automatic in VBP.
The Honda Fit is lightweight, super nimble, a cinch to park and has plenty of get up and go for this class of vehicle but don't expect to win too many stoplight dragraces in a Stock Fit.
One thing I did notice yesterday while driving over a couple of bridges yesterday was that in strong crosswinds - hold onto that steering wheel as I was getting pushed around!
Overall, I'm personally love the car and have yet to feel the car lacking in performance.

hopefully you get and post pics soon...the acceleration of the FIT is what you expect for the 109HP...it is very peppy though and it picks up it speed fairly well
