Awesome video, and great review.

I'll just have to do the conversions, but it sounds like they got the best acceleration #'s I've seen yet.

Thing jumps to 40mph, 55-80 in third scoots, pulls through a good corner in second like a rocket. Does 85 up a big hill no problem. Fastest car to downtown and back I ever had. Won’t beat chit in .25 mile. This guy got it right.

I think I heard him say "100k in 8.2 seconds"?

That would be 62 MPH.

No way will a Fit AT do 0-62 in 8.2 seconds. I think he said 9.2 seconds. Even that is doubtful! I think around 10.4 is more realistic. Remember, this ain't a hot rod 0-60 car. It moves good for a 1.5 liter, but I wouldn't drag race any Altima SE's, EVO's, WRX's or Mustang GT's!

Car and Driver magazine got a 8.7 in at Fit Sport MT....
and yes, please do not buy this car to drag race.

Has anyone post the gear ratios for MT vs AT??

yes the AT is faster, due to better gear ratios

Actually every publication I have read has stated the oposite. The MT is anywhere from 2 seconds to 1.4 seconds faster.

What would indicate that the a/t would be faster?
Its got taller gears and soaks up more power than the M/T.

Oh and nice belly Karyn!!!!

Thanks, I eat like a horse. I suspect it will be gone one day soon. I'm glad I have photographic evidence that I once had some abs in case I have to prove it in court one day in the future.

......whoops gotta go. Pizza is done in the microwave.

This debate has continued for months here on fitfreak. People who have driven both on both sides of the fence. The video claims 8.2 (!?) and Car and Driver's recent AT test was over 10 sec. I'll have my Fit AT soon and I'll plug in the G-tech and run it up to 60 a few times and report back. The debate has me curious but I know I bought this car for entirely different reasons than a 0-60 number.

The bottom line is that more power is available to the wheels with the 5MT due to a less parasitic drivetrain.

The only other factor is the gearing; which is very different for the 5MT and 5AT. I know that for the 5MT; one needs to shift from 1->2->3 for the 0-60mph run. The 5AT may be able to do 0-60 with just a shift from 1->2. I dont know for sure.

But 0-60 is only one dimension of speed.
