Inadequet sun visors...solution, pls?
As I have a rather vampirish opinion of the sun, I've found the sunvisors on my Fit to be woefully inadequet. Particularly when rotated and used on the side windows to block the sun.
Any recommendations as to what can be done to get more protection would be appreciated.
Yes, I've already outfitted my windows with the darkest possible tinting.
Thx

I was debating this myself...
I found a couple of aftermarket products...
For blocking sun to the side of the visors

Below the visors
No Glare Visor Extender - Auto & Travel - WalterDrake
Has anyone tried something like these?

Something I did to get my entire car a little darker and cooler was to get a windshield tint strip. You can do it below the AS1 line and not really worry about being hassled until inspection...plus, you can usually get around that anyways.
Have you thought about something like that?

What I was looking for was something that would really block the sun, that would extend down from the visor... make it wider. I can't stand it when the sun is on the horizon, baking down on me. Particularly when I am driving with the window down.
I am thinking now that I might modify a CD holder so that it folds down off the visor. Or creating an accordian pleated one that would fold down and cover the side window, giving even greater coverage. My thoughts are that if I made this from two CD holders, it would have the advantage of increasing my music library as well. And fold up and hide behind the visor when not in use.
Thx for the ideas.
They have provided me with a springboard for a solution.
