Aftermarket GPS Setups - Photos Wanted
I opted for the Sport rather than the Navi model--I would love to see interior photos of how you have your GPS systems set up.
Also please post which GPS model you have--please be nice--I am a GPS novice. Thanks

Garmin nuvi 755T Review (GPSmagazine.com)
No photos but the suction mount can be easily positioned in the drivers 'vent' window for a comfortable view. Power cord drapes over the steering wheel to the outlet. No big deal because I'm not using it most of the time, not that that means I know where I'm going - I just don't care. I much prefer this over sticking it in the middle somewhere and vent mounts suck for the FIT.
I've also used TomTom, but really do not like their suction mounts. Gave it to my daughter - he-he.
You saved a bundle not springing on the Navi and from what I hear it isn't at all what it's cracked up to be.
The other thing to remember is any GPS worth its salt will work just fine laying on the seat next to you or in the passengers hands. So if your looking for a place to eat give it to your wingman.

My XM
Antenna mounted behind stock - lead comes in thru hatch and is tucked at
headliner to front A-pillar then down and inside lower dash to the unit.

I should get my Fit this week, but I plan to try and attach it in front of the Shifter above the two cup-holders, Below the radio somehow. Thats where I have my Garmin located now in my '05 civic and I get a great signal.
will post pic when i do it.

Yeah--I really like that set up, too--keeps the dash nice and clean and better visibility for driver

i got rid of my garmin and built a simple iphone GPS setup.
it consists of a inverted/modified suction cup ball mount from a garmin unit. it'll work with any device that has a smooth rear end. all you need is some screws and this garmin suction cup mount that you can get from ebay for around $5.
here it is in my honda fit:
you can put it in portrait mode as well:
it's absolutely rock solid as all garmin mounts are. no vibrations and it holds its position very, very well.
i hope this gives you folks some ideas.
