DIY PreCut Tint - ALMOST DONE

I'm going to order this kit and post updates as I progress. I have no experience putting on it, but for $27 why not.

Honda Fit 07 08 PreCut Window Tint Kit 2007-2008: eBay Motors (item 310221843955 end time Jul-20-10 17:15:59 PDT)

UPDATE:

20% REAR WINDOWS
35% FRONT WINDOWS

I had to order it twice, 1st was a learning experience. No issues with the tints itself. Is it perfect? NO. Am I satisfied? surprisingly YES. I will work on the rear over the weekend with a blow dryer.

Tips:
-Use a lot of soapy water.
-Take your time. Borrow a friend.
-Side windows, no blow dryer. Rear window must shrink w/ blow dyer on outside first.
-Watch the youtube videos, over and over again.... and once more.

it's not that difficult a job but could take sometime if it's the first time doing it. I recommend you to watch some youtube demo videos.
Also, I recommend you to choose a good tint film that won't fade. Hope all is going on well with your tinting.

I tried it too, screwed it up, and ended up getting a professional tint after all. My advice -- use the $27 towards a pro tint. It's not as easy as you think.

I recommend a heat gun to help get the hatch tint to comform to the curved glass.
Went there, did that, and then went to a prof. with metalized tint= happy now.

I did it myself. Not bad but require some patient.
Heat gun is strongly recommended for rear window.

Did you heat shrink it in place on the outside of the window before you tried to install inside?

Oh don't be such a pessimist. The seller claim "will NOT turn purple." 99.6% positive rating and 37,000 feedbacks. But we'll just have to wait and see. I'll update in a month... and then leave feedback.

i just bought this kit for my front windows. i really dont think this is as hard as people think, i did my girls accord and it was a lot easier than i thought it be. the only problem i had was the rear window. but the fit has a lot of flat simple windows. even the rear window isnt that bad. congrats on the tint. it looks great. and sure it might be better sometimes to get it professionally done but everyone should try it out for themselves atleast once
