Financed at the 0% rate? It wasn't a Honda dealership and it's a $38,000 car.

Well, I think we got denied for the .9 for 60.

My dad was the signer, and my grandma was the co-signer. Dad's credit in the mid 600's Gma's credit in the 800's. Combined income of 20k+ monthly.

Must have a spotless app to get this I guess. Looks like I won't be getting my fit after all.

Zackk - no sale because of an interest rate? If not .9/60 they must have qualified for something, no? A 2.9/60 isn't that much more per month. Too bad. Sorry to hear that...

My rule - use theirs at the lowest rate for as long as you can get accelerate payments to cut payback time.

Darn-- don't they have a 1.9 or 2.9 available for you? I got 1.9 back at end of April

I was denied at first for my .9 for 60 months. My sister helped me co-sign, but my name was put first and the APR was 5.6% or something. I have a 700+ score (not really a lot backing it though) and my sister had a 660+ score (but she has more financial history). After that we told them that we couldn't buy the car without the .9 so they tried something else to get it for us. They switched our names putting my sister as the first person and me as the co-signer. We were then given the .9.

joro that is a very interesting story. Now why could they do this? Because you guys convinced them to.

Well done!! Nice Credit Union or Bank.

Well, we ended up getting approved.

After talking to them and initially getting denied we told them we'd be right back to pay in full cash (Cash was available, but with pretty much no financing it was a lighter hit on the wallet than one big chunk)

That changed their tune, and I'm now the happy driver of a '10 CBP 5mt sport.

Hmm, dealer or banker or maybe a poker dealer...... glad you got it!!

See, with cash they make 'no' money - the sharks ARGGHHH, anyway, first oil change should be free.

wow, sorry to hear you guys are having such a rough time getting this. some dealers play whatever games they can to get a little more out of you. I would assume towards the end of the month here, more of you will be getting follow up phone calls that you've "been approved" if you weren't at the beginning of the month. we don't play those games here. if you request the .9, and you qualify, we give it to you.

My credit is 650 with a previous auto loan and nothing bad on it.. didn't get .9 but I did get 3.9%.. still less than my CU was offering so I went that route and financed through Honda.

I've been talking to a couple dealers on and off for the last couple months, and today was the first time I went into the actual dealerships since this financing promotion started. I went to two dealerships and both dealers were significantly less willing to negotiate price now that this financing offer is going on. One dealer even told me Honda wouldn't allow them to negotiate price while offering the financing promotion; he said I could either get the price or the 0.9% but not both.

I'm pretty tired of dealerships giving me the run-around like this. And FYI, no one around here has been willing to go anywhere near the Consumer Reports Bottom Line Price when I show it to them. Pretty frustrating to say the least.

Yea, it doesn't sound like it but I actually had a pretty good experience with the dealer, he was a stand up guy.

That being said, I was sick of the whole "Car Dealer" atmosphere after being there 20 minutes. Was ready to hit the freakin' road already.

I hear that. I'm so sick of talking to dealers. I guess I should just stop trying to haggle and buy a damn car already. Even if I get an awesome price, it won't be worth it if I lose my sanity.

My salesman was just fine--not pushy or anything--it's the finance people you need to watch out for.

So i went to the Honda dealer with the intent on getting the 0.9% financing and got an internet quote through the website, for a 2010 Accord EX V6 coupe to replace my 01 MB they told me i couldn't get both the 0.9% and the internet pricing? They told me it was either or has anyone else experienced this?
