Gas question/brand
Hey, I have a question. Which brand of gas is considered the "best"? Any in particular?
I prefer to stay American, but whenever I've filled up at Hess or Sunoco, I've noticed they both contain 10% Ethanol. That gives you less gas mileage, correct?

With every Honda I've had (I'm on my fifth), they've been happier with brands like BP/Amoco and Texaco/Shell. Exxon works fine, as well. Chevron, Citgo, Crown, Wawa and all of the "off" brands (Sheets included) don't run as smoothly, and it some instances bring on pinging on 87 octane (which is recommended for the Fit).
Of course, individual experiences with any particular brand of gas may vary.

Mobil, Shell, 76, and Chevron in my view are the best brands of gas, any of those will do just fine. There is a Shell station very close to my house so I fill there also its the fuel of choice for Ferrari so you cant go wrong with them.

Longtime user of Royal Dutch Shell, so I am sending a lot of money back to the Netherlands.
I used to work for BP (AKA the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company) years ago, had bad run with their diesel in Mercedes cars, but never their gasoline in my fleet of Volvos and Citroens way back when.
Not sure about the US spec stuff now, here in Tennessee it is Amoco, going back to the BP take over of Amoco's US operations in 1999 after the 1998 "merger". This is an interesting twist if fate as when Rockefeller had to break up the Standard Oil monopoly and Amoco (Std Oil of Indiana) and SOHIO (Std Oil of Ohio) were created, with SOHIO falling to BP in the 1980s...so much for anti-trust laws in the US eh? Ida Tarbell is rolling in her grave.....
