I like the line of the windshield pillar continuing down the hood to the bumper. Very "industrial design" in a good way. IMO it is not quite as nice when seen in side view ( http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/s...n-r/main.html# )but it would be interesting to see it "real" (I doubt it will be sold in the US any time soon...)

Now that's cool. And can you imagine if it had the driveline out of the EVO?

^^^^^It'll awesome!! although i'd like it to be as lightweight as possible, Evo driveline will add considerable amount of weight.

Another quick thought.

This Colt is cool. There were a couple of decent Colts back in the '80's which we got, but it seems to me that the model should've never been dropped from the lineup in the U.S.

And with the success of the Fit, Yaris, Scions and recent sales spikes of the Aveo, Aerio and others in this class, maybe selling the Colt in North America can help Mitsubishi from going under. Their financial situation still ain't that great.

151hp/155 ft-lb@3500 rpm w/ 5spd MT. With the current conversion rate, about $17,600. Not bad.

i like it, i would think that if it sold here for around $17,500 thats not a bad price either for the R version...

Thats a sweet hatch, I would buy one in a second. Mitsu needs to market that here, with gas prices as they are it really could help turn them around.

I'm not crazy about the hood, but the back looks just like the Fit. I've never driven a Mitsubishi so I can't comment on reliability. If the reliability is good, I could see the Colt as a competitor to the Fit.

It's another tuners dream car just like the Fit (eventually).

Small displacement, lightweight, easy to tune cars. Srceaming little engines and tracks like a Kart.

BTW, you guys know if the Spoon Fit's ECU is upgraded? In one of the video we got here somewhere, the needle goes way over the redline.

Nice Colt....I wonder if it's AWD? Until it gets here (if ever) I'll wait on Greddy (or any other US brand) to provide a turbo for the Fit.

Aside from the EVO, Mitsubishi seems to have lost its way in the U.S., IMO. One fine example is the Eclipse....after the 2nd gen, it took a nose dive in the design department.
