75k miles. Too late to switch over to synthetic?
#2
No, but why? 75k on a modern car is nothing, really. I dont know what the climate is like in Holler, wherever that is, but unless you have arctic winter starting conditions, 0W-20 has no real advantage over 5W-20. Todays "conventional" oils are Group II and III synthetic blends anyway. The Camry is still going strong at 211,000 on conventional.
If you want to extend oil drain intervals beyond the OLM system, then be sure do used oil analysis to verify that the Amsoil, Mobil One EP, or whatever you choose is retaining TBN.
This debate rages on the the websphere, so do what you want, just try and be informed instead of emotional about it. On second thought, forget what I said. Follow the "cheap insurance" hype and change Mobil 1 every 1000 miles.
