Almost sold on Fit...talk me out of it!

Nice to hear you went with it.
I don't know if your Ranger has a rubber bedliner in it, but my old F150 did. I kept it when I sold the truck and cut it down to cover the entire inside of my fit behind the front seats.
Post up some pics of your loaded up fit!

, until they turned down this one side road that wasn't so much a road as, a car wide area without trees...there were several big ruts and tree branches, and some places you had to drive over some tall crap, like grass and weeds and small baby trees a foot or two high. My buddies were in an F-150, and they later told me they thought that I'd get stuck and need help. Nope. Fit powered through everything. Didn't even seem to scratch the front bumper.

It's been an awesome month and a half! Oil life is down to 30% after 3100 miles, and I'll be changing it with some Pennzoil full synthetic next weekend.
I did some math, using RoadTrip Lite app for iphone/ipod touch, and compared to my Ford Ranger, I saved:
-60 gallons of gas
-$157.50
-1,114 pounds of co2
That's awesome.
Loaded her down for a trip to the beach the other day. Another group went in a Ford Explorer. I had way more room for gear than they did, and ended up carrying three people's gear, while the Explorer only carried one set of dive gear, and two people's camping gear. I got almost 37 miles to the gallon, even loaded down with three people's dive gear and camping gear. The Fit was super easy to work out of, too! Everyone's gear was near a door, so we each had our own area and weren't in each other's way.
Now, I just need to get the radio figured out...I'd really like to see if I could get a 2008 Fit Sport radio, with the usb option, to keep the stock look to protect against theives, but allow me to use a usb stick to play music instead of having to carry around CD's.
