the second picture is ray's fit. he has heavily modded skunk 2 coils. as for wheels, try a 16 with a lower offset. im not really into that whole scene, but im pretty sure if you take a look around theres a few fits running wide wheels with low offsets.

d2's i think go the lowest without any extra ish. and if you wanna be low you'll be hacking up the fender liner, pulling n rolling yer fenders, n camber kit for the rears. wheel size...13-15/16's x 8-10in. widest patch i think most kids have been using is maybe 215.
ray n felix are probably the best examples i can think of you can look into though.

I would think the cheap route would be to stay with a 55 mm offset.
With this offset you could go as low as you want for the most part.

like shazaam said anything more than 45 offset you will be rubbing, rolling and pulling fenders, camber kits etc...

I did lots of research on this site and there are very knowledgeable people here so search the offset threads.
I felt there is to much mix and mach of offset tire width along with well how low are you going.
I just ordered the HFP Weels which will allow me unlimited ability to lower the car obviously within the suspension systems limits.
I doubt I will lower the car but now I can if I decide to in the future. I wont have to drop big money on multiple sets of wheels.
Good luck

lets say i was thinking like doing 15x8 -0 offset with a 205 or 215 x 45/40 tire?

and im not real worried about pulling and cutting because i have a bunch of 240 friends that are wheel fitment whores.

Go to the wheel offset thread and read a lot.
You are at risk for large bearing loads and possible failure, going beyond the limits of the suspensions geometry, HEAVY steering and a car that drives poorly if you go to below 40 mm offsets.
I am sure some may disagree. But my car is a daily driver and i need it to be reliable.
45 TO 55 MM is the safe route.
Beyond that open your wallet wide. I am sure it can be done. just look at some of the bad ass cars on this site. IT is however to rich$$$$ for me

. . .OFFSET THREAD. . .

I just put 15x7 +15 on my car today that is lowered on progress springs and the back rubs like crazy. Fenders are getting rolled this weekend and hopefully i can find some better tires!

You will definitely need to run some negative camber at 0 offset(o/s). I'm running 26 offset with stock camber setting. If you try to run 0 o/s and pull the fenders that much they will distort. You should be running 165/50 to help with clearance.

wow that first fit in the link looks like mine hah. Right now im running 15x8 +10 offset all the way around with 195/45s rolled front and rears, fender liner tucked up, and still lots of rubbing. I have negative camber up front too, didnt mess with the camber in the rear, but its fine as long as I dont put more than 3 people in the car.
